    FAQ

Q - Are Altezza tail lights legal?

A - Most are perfectly legal but not all. To be legal, the lights must meet and have the Department of Transportation’s FMVSS108 certification. Just saying DOT on the lens doesn’t make the lights street legal. All legal lights are registered by factory part number with the DOT.

    Q - Is Altezza a brand?

A - No, ‘Altezza’ is not a brand. Altezza is a nickname widely used to describe all euro style tail lights (clear lenses). The Lexus IS300, or Lexus Altezza, was the first car to come with that style of lights and the name stuck. APC, Crystal Eyes, KS, TYC, and YD are the five companies that make euro tail lights. All other brands re-box lights from these five companies.

Q - Do the Altezza lights come with bulbs?

A - If the lights can use your stock bulbs, they won't be included in the set. It's only in the event that a special harness is requiredthat the harness and bulbs will be included with set. Nearly all tail lights can be installed as purchased. Some people may choose to change their signal light bulbs to amber or hyper-white as the euro corners on these lights will no longer shine amber (the original bulb is clear, so it will shine off-white). If the signals are red, then there won't be a need to change the bulb.

Q - When it says "1" Altezza Euro Tail Light, is the price for one light or a pair? Is it one side or both?

A - The prices quoted are for a complete set. A set is comprised of the pieces shown in the picture (which is generally the amount of lights that it takes to replace your stock ones). Some sets, though, may not fully replace all your lights (ex. 93-97 Toyota Corolla - can be bought as a two piece set with no center piece). None of the lights are incomplete unless the description specifically refers to one side, like a "left" or "right" only.

Q - I can't find euro tail lights for my car anywhere and was wondering if you had them.

A - If it's not on the site, there's a good chance it's not made for your car or truck. We carry all manufacturers and update our site regularly when new lights are released. You can sign up on our mailing list and as we release new lights, we'll inform you via email. Also, check back on our main page to see new releases.
